Vital Tottenham man ‘sure’ he will remain on the Lane despite recent reports

The Transfer Tavern has rarely ever seen Tottenham Hotspur fans as happy as they were following the wonderfully dramatic 3-2 win over West Ham United over the course of the weekend.

That mightily important win at White Hart Lane further indicated just how vital Harry Kane is to the club’s hopes of challenging the top order in the Premier League, making recent ongoings in regards to his contract even worse reading for our north London locals.

However, there’s been even further reason to celebrate following reports from BBC Sport.

Despite reportedly stalling talks over an improved deal on Hotspur Way, the England international has openly decided to reassure fans he is all but certain to pen a new deal with his boyhood charges.

There’s little doubt he’s one of the best strikers in the league, perhaps on the continent, and keeping him would represent a huge shift in Spurs’ transfer policy.

Previously, the likes of Gareth Bale, Dimitar Berbatov and Luka Modric have been tempted away from the club for pastures new as they found it hard to keep their very best players.

Still, ahead of their seismic stadium move, Kane has moved to reveal he is happy at the club and is sure he will commit his future.

“I am happy at the club and want to be here for a long, long time,” said the 23-year-old.

“We are in talks and I’m sure we will get something sorted. I’m not panicking and I’m not demanding anything as I’ve read in the paper.”

“We’re having a conversation and I have no doubts that we will get it sorted.”

How crucial is it that Spurs keep a hold of Kane? Let us know below…
