The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been raving over their talented youngster, Trent Alexander-Arnold after watching footage of him scoring a stunning goal whilst training with the England team ahead of the World Cup. At the age of just 19, the young full-back has a big future ahead and the Liverpool fans are delighted that he’s one of their own.

The young Champions League finalist burst onto the scene this season early on when he scored a stunning free-kick against Hoffenheim in the club’s Champions League qualifying round and since then he’s gone from strength to strength. A long-term injury to Nathaniel Clyne provided Alexander with the chance to have a prolonged stint in the team and he’s taken the chance with both hands, winning himself a World Cup place despite not yet winning a cap.
The 19-year-old is just one player in a group of young inexperienced internationals that also includes Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Nick Pope who have picked up very few caps between them. The nation’s hopes lie with the youngsters this summer and failure is a very real possibility, with a group of Tunisia, Panama and Belgium who will be no pushovers in Russia.

Hope to see more of these strikes next season.

He’s not afraid is he? hope he gets a chance, he’s as good as any of the other right backs we’ve picked.
