The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern aren’t quite sure how to feel about the club’s business on deadline day.
Indeed, while Alexis Sanchez stays at the Emirates for another few months at least, the punters propping up the bar are debating whether or not that’s a good thing or not.
Into the final few months of his deal and widely thought to have wanted an exit, the former Barcelona man may be more of a distraction than anything.
As if that wasn’t enough to chat about, Thomas Lemar is understood to have snubbed a move to the Emirates Stadium, despite the Gunners reportedly agreeing a fee for the Frenchman.
He’d have been a wonderful replacement for Sanchez had he gone, so the fact he won’t be lining up alongside Alexandre Lacazette in north London hasn’t gone down well amongst our Arsenal-mad punters.
So, seeing him score a stunner against Holland last night has only made matters worse.

As you can imagine, watching what the man who rejected them can do is rather painful viewing…
Thoughts?
