Many Watford fans have responded on Twitter to a post from captain Troy Deeney as he gave an update on his injury.
Hornets fans came in droves to tell the forward to come back as soon as possible, with the club currently sitting at the bottom of the Premier League table.
The attacker said: “Small step in the right direction this week, slow and painful process but we working”.
Many mentioned how the club was missing a leader on the pitch, which when you look at the results on the pitch, might be very true.
Watford have just come off the back of an 8-0 thrashing at the Etihad, meaning the club have now conceded 18 goals in their six games – averaging three conceded a match.
Quique Sanchez Flores has recently returned to the club, and despite a positive start by grabbing a point after falling 2-0 down to Arsenal, things are now looking bleak again after getting brought right back down to reality with that humbling result.
It’s no surprise then to see fans begging for the return of Troy Deeney, considering the attacker’s importance to the side.
Here are some of the responses below…
