Watford have confirmed in a statement that Javi Gracia has been sacked as their manager.
Some might not have expected this after he led the Hornets to the FA Cup final last season, yet here is what today brings:

This means that Watford have now got through a total of eight managers since the beginning of 2014, as per Soccerbase, which is a pretty astonishing turnaround.
Still, with the Hornets getting just one point from their first four league games of the season and having won just once in the final six games of last season, as per Transfermarkt, the decision is not completely unfathomable.
Whether it was the right one or not remains to be seen but, following swift confirmation that Quique Sanchez Flores has returned to the Vicarage Road dugout, it is clear the club chiefs felt change was absolutely needed and quickly.
