Liverpool fans here in the Tavern are still not convinced with their current goalkeeping situation, as options elsewhere are weighed up by many Reds supporters.
Anfield has witnessed disappointment and heartbreak on a consistent basis so far this season, as goalkeeping errors continue to unravel any promising positions the Reds have put themselves in. Indeed, German ‘keeper Loris Karius saw the inconsistencies displayed by former No.1 Simon Mignolet work in his favour, with the 24-year-old now having staked his claim as the club’s primary shot-stopper.
And, Super Sunday saw the German deliver another promising performance in-between the sticks for the Reds, as Anfield finally looks to have found a guardian deserved of a place in-front of the Kop. However, our local residents still aren’t easily swayed by the recent impressive performances of Karius, with the attention of many supporters leaning towards recruiting Roma ‘keeper Alisson in the summer months.
Although, manager Jurgen Klopp seems to be growing fond of having his fellow countryman in-between the sticks, and Karius is certainly relishing his opportunity, as Liverpool’s Twitter account uploaded a post-match reaction from the Reds’ shot-stopper.
