Our Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern are excited to have a look at their new signings tonight against Watford.

With the three new signings, two of which were brought in on deadline day Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has the option, for the first time, a little room to play about with his team this season. Indeed, the transfer of Olivier Giroud will excite many of the Blues at the bar, and should be an instant hit with his Premier League pedigree.

Conte faces a Watford side struggling for form and will be hoping to better their results in the last round of games against Bournemouth. The regulars in the bar see this match only going one way but in the Premier League, you can never tell can will happen.

What our landlord is hoping to happen though is that Chelsea’s new look front three could all feature and set the stall out for the rest of the season…

So, with that in mind, here’s a look at it.

CAM: Ross Barkley

The recent signing of Ross Barkley has opened up a new line of options for Conte to use, the former Everton man needs game time to get back to his best after not playing for the whole of the first half of the season.

An attacking and creative partnership could form with his fellow attacking midfielder Eden Hazard, and with this pairing, the Premier League could see a deadly and dangerous two-pronged attack forming. Our punters are excited to see how they pair will start to bounce off each other of the coming weeks.

CAM: Eden Hazard

The Belgian superstar is Chelsea’s main man and with that comes a lot of expectation. Hazard has shown over numerous season how dangerous he can be in the Premier League and Europe but with two new signings around him, he can start to open up different lines of passing and partnerships to further torment defences.

Hazard himself will be looking to show Conte that the team should still revolve around him and that he can be the Blues/ main man for years to come.

ST: Olivier Giroud

The former Arsenal target man is just what Conte has been looking for all of January, a back up to Alvaro Morata and an upgrade to the departed Michy Batshuayi. Giroud has a chance to kick off his Chelsea career in style while the Spaniard is out of the match.

Giroud needs a big performance if he is to displace Morata as Conte’s number one striker at the club, and after spending the majority of time on the bench at the Gunners, Giroud will be desperate to show he is a starting eleven player.
