If there’s arguably any club in the Premier League you’d want to send a precocious young talent to develop, it’s Arsenal.

Arsene Wenger has a history of bringing talent through their ranks such as Cesc Fabregas, Ashley Cole or Jack Wilshere, or even nurturing talent from other clubs like Thierry Henry or Theo Walcott.

Over the last few years, a number of African players have begun to make their mark in English football.

Yaya Toure has won two league titles at Manchester City, Didier Drogba became a club legend at Chelsea while Riyad Mahrez became the first African player to win PFA Player of the Year.

The Gunners themselves may even have a new African talent breaking through in the form of Alex Iwobi, who has made six starts and created three goals.

With the North London side’s facilities and willingness to invest in youth, we think they would be the perfect side for African players wanting to move to a top club. Here are two players we think they should sign.

SHUNGU DUTIRO

One area Arsenal have struggled in for years is up front.

In recent years they’ve tried Olivier Giroud, Theo Walcott, Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck in the role up top with mixed success.

SO, Shungu Dutiro they may be able to develop a top striker.

The 16-year-old South African won the best striker, top goalscorer and best player award at the Future Champions tournament and the Golden Boot in the Future Champions tournament.

He currently plays with Bidvest Wits in South Africa.

SAMUEL ATTA MENSAH

Arsene Wenger loves a player who can pick a pass and that’s exactly what he’d get with Samuel Atta Mensah.

The Ghanaian has incredible vision and passing range considering he only turned 17 this month and has been dubbed by some of our punters as the ‘Ghanaian Luka Modric.’

The youngster hit 12 assists to top the second division assist charts with Dunkwa United before he moved to Wa All Stars, who he helped to win their first title this year.
