Sky Sports (Sky Sports News, 15.10) have revealed that West Bromwich Albion target Japhet Tanganga will not be leaving Tottenham during this January transfer window.
Tanganga to stay at Spurs
The Baggies had been linked with a Deadline Day move for the Spurs defender as Sam Allardyce looks to complete some last-gasp deals.

Now, though, it appears the £7.2m-valued 21-year-old (Transfermarkt) will be staying in north London.
Surprising
This does appear to be a bizarre decision from Jose Mourinho and Daniel Levy. Tanganga is clearly not in Mourinho’s short-term plans considering he has not played a single minute of Premier League football so far this campaign (Transfermarkt).

Surely it would be in the youngster’s best interests to go out on loan and play on a regular basis? Either way, it seems a decision has been made – perhaps he may have a chance of playing this term after all if the current Spurs defensive issues continue.
In other news, this 88-goal forward is having a medical at West Brom ahead of a move to the Midlands.
