West Brom: Fans hammer Sam Johnstone

Slaven Bilic and everybody else connected with West Brom will be absolutely gutted to have given away a point against Tottenham, and they arguably have Sam Johnstone to blame for the error.

Going into the final couple of minutes of the game, the Baggies looked like they might earn themselves a draw against the London outfit – a point that could have been huge for Bilic, with this said to be a make-or-break match for the Croatian in order to keep his job.

However, Harry Kane’s late header separated the two sides, and West Brom’s shot-stopper did not cover himself in glory. He hesitated, and failed to come out to collect the long ball which allowed the England captain to grab the winner.

As a result, the Baggies remain stuck on three points and in the bottom three. It is fair to say that these West Brom fans were disgusted with the goalkeeper’s mistake, and they took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

Should not sack Bilic after that performance. If anything Sam Johnstone needs dropping for making that mistake. He’ll realise then he’s not invincible.
