Slaven Bilic is surely on the brink of getting sacked after his West Bromwich Albion side was beaten 2-1 by Newcastle United.
The Baggies were 1-0 down at half-time after Miguel Almiron scored within a minute. They did manage to level things up through a Darnell Furlong goal, but in an ironic twist Dwight Gayle was on hand to earn the Magpies the three points. The result will be doubly disappointing for the Midlands outfit given the chaos Newcastle have had to put up with over the past couple of weeks.

With his side trailing at the break, Bilic rolled the dice and brought on Charlie Austin and Kieran Gibbs, who replaced Karlan Grant and Callum Robinson respectively. The club’s supporters were far from happy with the Croatian, with many viewing the changes as defensive when West Brom should have been attacking the game.
