West Brom fans desperate to secure Harvey Barnes on a permanent deal

Last night saw plenty of Champions League action, but for The Baggies, it was only the action at The Hawthorns that they were interested in. Darren Moore’s side overcame Bristol City 4-2 on the night and young Harvey Barnes was the architect as he grabbed himself a goal and two assists to see off Lee Johnson’s City. Now, though, the fans are calling for Barnes to be signed permanently.

The 20-year-old attacker has now got himself three goals and two assists in his short time with West Brom and it’s no surprise that he fans want him full-time after his loan ends. Moore secured the deal for Barnes over the summer as he came down from Leicester City and he’ll be integral to any kind of promotion push that The Baggies make this season.

Barnes has so far been deployed as a left-winger and as an attacking midfielder and it was in that central role where he thrived last night. After a Jay Rodriguez penalty gave the home side the lead Barnes started to turn it on. He laid on two assists in five minutes for Rodriguez and Dwight Gayle before scoring a delicious effort of his own in the second half to take the game beyond Bristol City and his performance has made the fans call for more.
