Many West Bromwich Albion fans have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by West Brom news Twitter account @WBAReport which shared a report which claimed that Albion have allegedly made Sheffield Wednesday’s Josh Windass a January transfer target.
This news originally emerged in a report from The Daily Record, who have claimed that Baggies boss Sam Allardyce is keen on doing a deal for the former Rangers player.
It’s claimed that the £1.44m-rated man is holding talks with three clubs at present, one being West Brom, who are seemingly in the driver’s seat with regard to securing the 26-year-old’s signature as he allegedly favours a move to The Hawthorns at present.
Meanwhile, Allardyce views Windass as a potential bargain with the 66-year-old lining up a £400k deal for the Englishman.
So, how have these West Brom fans reacted to this transfer claim on Windass?
A lot of West Brom fans are seemingly far less keen on this transfer than Allardyce seemingly is, however, as plenty of the Baggies fans who replied to this post from @WBAReport were fuming over this transfer link.
“Not exactly setting the world alight in the championship for them, so why are we even considering it?”
“Strange. I thought he was more of a winger than a striker? But not sure he has the goals to improve on Grant or Austin…”
