West Brom: Baggies in transfer talks for Cenk Tosun

According to Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur, West Bromwich Albion have opened negotiations to sign Cenk Tosun from Everton.
Allardyce targets Tosun
Sam Allardyce has previous experience with the Turkey international – he actually signed Tosun during his short spell as boss at Goodison Park.
Now, it is being reported that the Baggies have opened negotiations over a transfer for the striker. Given his lack of playing time with the Toffees, it is believed Tosun would be eager to make the move.
Comfortable
As West Brom lie in 19th place in the table, having won just one of their first 16 games in the top flight this term, Allardyce does not have much time to experiment in regards to his squad. With Tosun, he at least knows exactly what to expect, with the former Besiktas man having played under Allardyce during the 2018/19 campaign.
At his best, Tosun is a real handful. He has 119 club goals to his name at senior level throughout his career, while Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish called him an “excellent” player after his spell with the Eagles. He is also just 29, meaning that he should still have a good few years left in him despite all his experience.
Would you like to sign Tosun?
Yes

No

Given he has made just five appearances in the Premier League this season, it should not be too difficult to convince Carlo Ancelotti and co to part ways. It remains to be seen whether this is a deal that is completed.
In other news, Allardyce is eyeing three new signings as part of a Hawthorns overhaul.
