West Brom: Fans speculate as Bilic contract comments emerge

A lot of West Bromwich Albion fans have been responding to a tweet that was recently posted by The Express and Star’s West Brom reporter Joseph Masi, which relayed the news that Baggies manager Slaven Bilic has confirmed he’s not held any talks with the West Midlands club over a contract extension.

This tweet includes a link to a report from The Express and Star which explains that Bilic is under contract with Albion until the end of the 2020/21 campaign and relays some recent comments from the Baggies boss with regard to his Albion future.

Per The Express and Star, when asked if he’s held any talks with the club over a new deal, Bilic said: “No, but we knew that from the start of the season as we spoke about it briefly before the start of the season. I was happy with the situation and we said we were going to concentrate on the season and that’s it, basically.”

The Croat coach also revealed that he’s not been pushing for a new deal, as he said: “I didn’t want to force any talks then, not to mention now. I’m happy with it.”

So, how did these West Brom fans react to Bilic’s confirmation that he’s not held talks with the Baggies over a new deal yet?

Plenty of Albion fans speculated over the manager’s future in response to Masi’s tweet. These comments come with the West Midlands club sitting second-from-bottom on the Premier League table and plenty of Albion fans shared that they don’t think Bilic will be at The Hawthorns next season.

Of course, they head to the Etihad Stadium to take on Manchester City this week, so Bilic’s future could soon be dangling by a thread if they are on the wrong end of a big scoreline.
