After not being able to keep a single clean sheet in all competitions so far this season, West Bromwich Albion fans were delighted with yesterday’s news (via WhoScored).
Defender Ahmed Hegazi returned to action after he played an hour in the under-23s 2-1 win over Newcastle United (via Football League World).
West Brom have had a stable partnership at centre-half with Semi Ajayi and Kyle Bartley starting every game so far in the Championship this campaign.
However, the return of the 56-cap Egypt international will be a boost for Slaven Bilic given the defender’s contribution last season as the club reached the play-offs.
Despite conceding in every game, Bilic’s side remains unbeaten in the second-tier of English football, sitting fourth in the table.
Fans were understandably thrilled with the news of the seemingly imminent return of the Egyptian.
