West Bromwich Albion fans gave their own solutions to the club’s goal-scoring problems after a second draw in four Championship games.
The Baggies drew 1-1 against Reading on Wednesday night thanks to a late Kenneth Zohore penalty, despite having 20 shots on goal.
Manager Slaven Bilic came out after the draw against Reading and said he was only disappointed with the lack of goals from his side.
He said: “I told the players I am proud of them. I cannot be unhappy that we are playing like this. I can only be unhappy that we haven’t scored more goals.” (Source: West Brom)
The Midlands side recruited two strikers in the summer, with Zohore joining from Cardiff City for an undisclosed fee, and Charlie Austin joining from Southampton for a fee believed to be £3.87m.
Fans gave their varying thoughts on how Bilic should tackle the problems upfront.
Here is a selection of tweets from West Brom fans after Bilic’s comments:
Personally I don’t think we are lacking “a goal scorer” we need to be more ruthless in front of goal and actually try and shoot. Haven’t missed a game yet but that’s all I can say is that we look scared to shoot and want to pass the ball in

Should have gone for Adam reach he’d have shown our lot how to shoot.

2 strikers needed for home games should do it, especially with our possession football #WBA FC

Austin will get the goals 100% but he just didn’t look match fit at the minute but that will come soon. Next home game I’d go with a 4312 with Zohore and Austin up top and Krovi in behind and see how that works

Need to drop livermore and play 2 upfront at home but keep the system we played last night away
