West Bromwich Albion fans are split firmly down the middle after Boaz Myhill was appointed as the club’s Professional Phase Development Goalkeeping Coach.
The 36-year-old retired from football and took up the role yesterday, which is an opportunity he is thrilled to have taken (via West Brom).
Myhill signed for the Baggies more than nine years ago in 2010, however, made just 97 appearances for the club for the first team and the under-23s (via Transfermarkt).
He is perhaps best remembered for his time at Hull City, where he made 247 appearances for the club, keeping 63 clean sheets and conceding more than 300 goals.
It seems that fans aren’t decided on whether appointing Myhill as the goalkeeping coach of academy youngsters is a good idea. Some believe he can make an impact, while others mocked him for his bench-warming days at the Hawthorns.
