West Bromwich Albion: Fans laud Darnell Furlong after performance against Huddersfield Town

West Bromwich Albion fans were praising Darnell Furlong after the right-back’s performance in the 4-2 win over Huddersfield Town.

The full-back scored the second goal as Slaven Bilic’s side came from behind twice to maintain their unbeaten start to the season. A Matt Phillips brace and a second consecutive goal from Semi Ajayi completed the scoring for the Baggies (via BBC).

The Luton-born defender was in monstrous form against the Terriers having the most touches, joint second-most shots and completing the second-most dribbles of the West Brom team as he put in a brilliant attacking performance (via WhoScored).

The goal yesterday was Furlong’s first-ever goal for the club, and just his fifth in his young career so far (via Transfermarkt).

Fans were praising their young defender as they took to Twitter to comment on his performance in what was just his sixth appearance for the club since his move from Queens Park Rangers in the summer (via BBC).
