West Bromwich Albion fans were taking a walk down memory lane after the club’s official Twitter account reminded them of a particular visit to Loftus Road.
On the 4th of May 2008, West Brom secured promotion back to the Premier League with a 2-0 win away at Queens Park Rangers (via BBC).
Goals from Do-Heon Kim and Chris Brunt sealed a 2-0 victory as Tony Mowbray’s side sealed the Championship title and their place in the top flight.
Since that win back in 2008, the Baggies have won just two of their six games away to the West London side. However, the Midland side did do the double over QPR last season, including hammering them 7-1 at the Hawthorns (via 11v11.com).
Fans remembered the fixture with great happiness ahead of their game against their Championship rivals as they took to Twitter to react.
