West Bromwich Albion fans were thrilled after the club’s official Twitter account posted a video of Ahmed Hegazi back in training.
Hegazi has been out since the end of Egypt’s run in the African Cup of Nations after having surgery on an ankle injury (via Birmingham Mail).
The Egypt international was a crucial part of the side that reached the Championship play-off semi-finals last season, playing 38 times in the second tier (via Transfermarkt).
The 28-year-old was in brilliant form for the Baggies and won the second-most number of aerial challenges in the side last season with 4.1 per game (via WhoScored).
Hegazi has played more than 80 times for West Brom since his move from Italian side Fiorentina on a season-long loan deal in the summer of 2017 (via BBC).
Fans were thrilled at the news of Hegazi’s return to the training field as they took to Twitter to react.
