Plenty of West Brom supporters have welcome the club’s announcement this morning that Kyle Edwards has agreed a contract extension at The Hawthorns.
The Baggies confirmed on their official website wba.co.uk that they have activated the option to extend the 22-year-old’s contract by another season, thus keeping him at the club until 2021 at the earliest. The news was also shared by Express & Star journalist Joseph Masi on Twitter (via @JosephMasi_Star).
Albion have triggered their option to extend Kyle Edwards' contract by 12 months. The Baggies have also received confirmation from West Ham & Sheff U that Diangana and Robinson will remain on loan if/when football returns. https://t.co/aww3a6wZ4j #wba

Edwards, a graduate of Albion’s academy, made his senior debut at the start of the 2018/19 season and has gone on to make 39 first team appearances for West Brom, scoring four goals. Although he has featured primarily as a substitute under Slaven Bilic this term, he has still played in 28 first team games and contributed two goals, which came against Nottingham Forest and Swansea (as per TransferMarkt).
The 22-year-old has stood out with his ability to take on and beat opponents – his match average of 1.5 successful duels is bettered only by Grady Diangana among Bilic’s squad (as per WhoScored).
These Baggies fans on Twitter were delighted to hear of Edwards’ contract extension at The Hawthorns:
Excellent stuff. Well done the Albion and congratulations Kyle
