A lot of West Ham fans loved a video posted by the club of current loanee Tomas Soucek training in preparation for the season to resume.
Soucek came from Slavia Prague in January after scoring eight goals in 17 league appearances and two goals in six Champions League appearances this season, via Transfermarkt. The Czech Republic international can play in both attacking and defensive midfield positions and, although he has only played four times for the Hammers, he has impressed quite a few Irons supporters and would probably have played more if it weren’t for a minor injury he suffered.
In fact, the 25-year-old is already averaging the joint-second highest interceptions per game (two, via WhoScored) and the most clearances (three) of any central midfielder among David Moyes’ squad.
The video shows him producing a great strike which flew straight into the top corner of the net and has left many fans hopeful that he will be signed permanently in the summer.
