West Ham United are taking on Manchester City in the first Premier League game of the day.
Having taken a 1-0 lead into half-time against Pep Guardiola’s side, you would expect the Hammers fan base to be pleased. However, some have found a reason to complain, namely a decision from David Moyes.
The winger had a terrific campaign last season for Brentford as he scored 17 goals and also supplied nine assists (WhoScored). He often proved a menace for opposition defences, as highlighted by his remarkable match averages of 3.8 shots, 2.1 key passes and three dribbles.
He has earned a lot of praise in the Championship, including from his former manager Thomas Frank, who called him ‘magnificent’.
Journalist Sam Inkersole confirmed it was not due to injury but more down to fitness. However, Benrahma’s omission did not go down well with these Irons fans, one of whom branded Moyes “stubborn”.
Here is how West Ham fans are reacting to this Benrahma news:
He’s only played a couple of times this season for Brentford and not since early October. Disappointing that he hasn’t made the bench but not a surprise really

Nothing to do with the fact Moyes didn’t want to sign him? 🤔

Gutted that Benrahma didn’t make the team today, but it’s fair if he isn’t fit for today. He hasn’t played in the league since October 4th in all fairness.
