West Ham United: ExWHUemployee drops behind the scenes claim on ‘very popular’ Tomas Soucek

Writing on Twitter, West Ham club insider and reliable source ExWHUemployee has shared a behind the scenes claim on ‘fantastic‘ David Moyes signing Tomas Soucek – going on to say that he is ‘very popular’ in the dressing room.

Soucek, who arrived just days after former Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini was sacked last year, became new manager Moyes’ first signing during his second spell in charge of the club.

Soucek a ‘popular’ figure

After he scored a last-gasp winner at home to Fulham on Saturday night, securing a much needed three points as West Ham continue their recent fine run of form, ExWHUemployee took to Twitter and revealed some inside information on the 25-year-old.

Indeed, while slowly becoming a fan favourite after signing on a permanent deal from Slavia Prague in the summer, having originally joined on loan, the club source has now claimed he is a ‘polite lad’ who is ‘really nice’ in person both on and off the pitch – at least according to what he has ‘heard’.

Transfer Tavern take

The 6ft 3 colossus has started every single Premier League game in midfield for the Hammers so far this campaign, becoming a mainstay under Moyes and slowly justifying his lofty £19.1 million fee.

If Soucek can continue impressing on the field, and in the dressing room as per this update, the Czech Republic international will have no shortage of admirers over the coming season.

As West Ham look to stave off relegation, they will need all the help they can get – with Soucek potentially being a key part of their battle to have a much better season than last year.
