As confirmed by the club, West Ham United will complete the permanent signing of defender Craig Dawson at the end of the 20202/2021 season from EFL side Watford - prompting many Irons to go wild as the club share this 'fantastic news'.

Dawson, who has perhaps performed better than expected during his time in east London, was signed on a loan-to-buy deal last summer - with the Englishman since becoming a mainstay in manager David Moyes' line up.

It took a while for the centre-back to play his way into the side, but he has since partnered the likes of Angelo Ogbonna and Issa Diop to great effect.

So much so, he has even kept Paraguayan colossus Fabian Balbuena out of the side on many occasions - with West Ham now set to sign Dawson permanently at the end of the season.

The 30-year-old will sign a contract at the London Stadium until 2023, and it's safe to say many supporters are overjoyed.
