West Ham set to lose out on potential experienced signing

Our West Ham fans here in the Transfer Tavern cannot wait to see their side back in action this Premier League weekend coming as they look for their first win of the season.

The men from the London Stadium have had a tough start to the campaign this year with them losing three away games so far and so their game against Huddersfield is surely going to be a crucial one for them.

And, as we wait for the game to kick off in a few days, the Hammers have seemingly received a pretty negative setback in the sense that they may not be getting free agent Bacary Sagna to come to the club.

The Daily Mail has reported him as a target of the club but they are saying that the French left-back is more keen on a move abroad after he was released by Manchester City in the summer following his contract expiring.

It seems, then, that West Ham would have to put a seriously attractive offer on the table if they want to sign him.

Landlord’s Verdict

West Ham are evidently looking for ways to strengthen the squad after a poor start to proceedings this season but it seems as though they will not be able to call on Sagna’s services.

The former Arsenal defender is available on a free but is clearly eyeing a move abroad and so the Hammers will have to go elsewhere.

Thoughts, West Ham fans? Let us know below!
