Many West Ham United fans want Marko Arnautovic back at the club after ExWHUemployee said the Hammers were interested in re-signing the Austria international.

The 32-year-old did not leave the Irons on the best of terms as he pushed for a move to China in 2019 (The Sun), but he enjoyed a good spell at the London Stadium, scoring 22 goals and providing 12 assists in 65 matches (Transfermarkt). Although at times he was criticised for his work-rate and attitude (talkSPORT), there was no questioning his technical skills and his ability to decide a match in his team's favour. Throughout his club career, he has managed 99 goals.

West Ham are likely to be looking to bring in a centre-forward this summer - David Moyes currently has only Michail Antonio at his disposal in that position. According to club insider ExWHUemployee, Arnautovic is on the club's radar ahead of the upcoming transfer window (via West Ham Central).

The news attracted plenty of attention from these supporters, who seem delighted at the links to the former Irons marksman. They took to social media platform Twitter to share their thoughts on his possible return to east London.

"Yes bring him back, anyone who doesn't want him back is deluded. He is a free transfer and an actual ST so we can still buy a couple of strikers. Noble and Moyes has said good things about him."
