Speaking in a press conference before West Ham United take on Burnley on Saturday afternoon, manager David Moyes dropped an enticing four-word transfer hint – going on to say to the press that ‘we’ll look at it‘ when asked about January incomings.
This comment from Moyes comes amid links to Reims striker Boulaye Dia, with the Frenchman heavily touted to be attracting serious West Ham interest from various sections of the media.
Sky Sports transfer insider Kaveh Solhekol claimed very recently that West Ham had entered talks, with both the Ligue 1 club and Hammers negotiating a fee.
Moyes drops subtle transfer hint
The price tag could come to around £15 million, with GSB reportedly ready to pay it (Eurosport), and Moyes has now addressed potential January incomings to the press before their Burnley encounter.
When asked about the remainder of this transfer window, the Scotsman simply stated ‘we’ll look at it’ – refusing to rule out signings in the coming weeks as supporters potentially plead for a Sebastien Haller replacement.
“I want to win the next four games if I can. If someone else comes along who can help us win the next games, we’ll look at it,” explained the Irons boss.
“But the most important people are the players in this building at the moment.
“Winning the games, players improving – that’s what we want to do.”
Transfer Tavern take
Despite remaining somewhat reserved in his admission to the media, Moyes appears open to the prospect of signings and hints transfer business could happen this window.
Amid growing links to Dia, along with other potential options (ExWHUemployee), you certainly wouldn’t rule it out.
