Speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss, via Spazio Napoli and translated by Sport Witness, Italian journalist Ciro Venerato has gifted hope to West Ham in the race to sign Poland international star Arkadiusz Milik – dropping a teasing six-word hint that owners Gold, Sullivan and Brady (GSB) have a real shot of signing him.
Milik, who has barely featured for Napoli this season, making clear his desire to leave in January, is still a crucial member of the national team – with Poland head coach Jerzy Brzęczek lauding his ‘incredible’ (Il Mattino) star man during the most recent international break.
Should West Ham sign Milik in January?
Yes, better than Dia and Daka
No, not what we need atoll
Hammers gifted Milik hope
Also likened to Karim Benzema in 2020 by former Serie A striker Marco Borriello, in an interview with Tuttosport, Milik is most likely to be on the move this month as he searches for more first team football at club level.
GSB and West Ham are reportedly interested in signing him, with Venerato claiming the Hammers lodged a £6.2 million bid for his services earlier this week.
Coming back with an update after the offer was swiftly rejected, the journalist has teased some hope for Irons supporters in just six words – going on to say that while there is serious competition, there is a ‘chance he’ll go to West Ham‘.

After this development, it appears the east Londoners are still in contention for Milik’s signature – but GSB will have to return with another bid more befitting of Milik’s quality.
However, judging by the journalist’s teasing six-word hint, they could indeed sign the towering forward this month.
