West Ham United: GSB tipped to land ‘perfect’ Bournemouth striker Joshua King

West Ham United: GSB tipped to land 'perfect' Bournemouth striker Joshua King - Premier League

Speaking to Football Insider, former Premier League striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has tipped West Ham United to sign Bournemouth striker Joshua King in January – going on to claim that he is just what the Clarets need and that he’d be a ‘perfect addition’ for David Moyes.

King, relegated with the Cherries last term, was linked with high profile moves to Tottenham and Man United over the summer which never came to fruition.

King tipped for West Ham

The Norway international, who has amassed an impressive 51 caps for his country, is now being tipped with a move to east London following a report from Football Insider that suggests that GSB have laid the groundwork.

Given a recent injury to Moyes favourite Michail Antonio, the Hammers have been left short of options going forward – with Agbonlahor now tipping the club to get a January deal done for King.

Estimating that he will cost a maximum fee of around £10 million, the ex-Aston Villa star has hinted King could be a bargain coup for West Ham and the ‘perfect’ striking addition.

“It’s a move that works for both clubs,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider.

“Bournemouth don’t want to let him go for free in the summer.

“It might be a figure of maybe £7-10million in January.

“West Ham will know Antonio will get injuries with the way he plays so they’ll definitely be looking to get him and I think it’s definitely something that’ll get done in January.

“He’ll be a perfect addition and just what West Ham need.”

Transfer Tavern take

A forward with proven top-flight experience, King’s meagre market value and the fact his contract runs out next summer could be a huge incentive for the Hammers to swoop.

Given Agbonlahor’s take, it’s safe to say he could indeed be the perfect addition for Moyes and co.
