Speaking to West Ham news outlet Claret & Hugh, a source close to the player has dropped an enticing claim confirming that GSB and David Moyes’ interest in signing Boulaye Dia is ‘real’ and the transfer ‘could happen’ before the end of January.
Dia, who has emerged as a top target for the Hammers in recent weeks, with fellow reliable source ExWHUemployee saying West Ham could soon submit a bid (via Hammers News), could be on the way to east London this month depending on developments.
This comes after the forward’s agent, in an interview with Telefoot via le10sport, confirmed that GSB talks for the 24-year-old have indeed taken place.
The Ligue 1 talisman has enjoyed a sensational start for Reims this season, netting 12 goals in 16 starts, with West Ham firmly on the prowl as this source unveils that the interest is ‘real’.
Insider drops enticing Dia claim
Speaking to Claret & Hugh, an insider close to the striker himself has dropped a potentially promising claim – going on to say that their interest in signing Dia is ‘real’ and the fact his agent has spoken out on West Ham’s interest could put them in ‘pole position’.
“The Hammers interest is real but the agent talking it up could be a double edged sword,” explained the source to C&H.
“On the one hand it may put the Irons in pole position as things stand.
“But is aimed basically at getting other clubs interested. As I understand it that hasn’t happened so far.”
Transfer Tavern take
Whether or not West Ham sign Dia remains to be seen, but after this update, their intent certainly looks real and they could be in ‘pole position’ depending on developments.
One thing is for sure, they will need reinforcements given the departure of Sebastien Haller earlier this month.
