Speaking to Sky Sports News, via Football Daily, journalist and transfer insider Kaveh Solhekol has claimed that West Ham United are still very much interested in signing Bournemouth striker Joshua King this transfer window – with David Moyes apparently not giving up on his pursuit and could still sign him.
Reports linking King with a move to the London Stadium had somewhat died down in recent weeks, but Solhekol now claims GSB and Moyes are still eyeing a pursuit for the 51-cap Norwegian this month (Transfermarkt).
West Ham still want King
This comes as the odds of signing other targets, like Sevilla front man Youssef En-Nesyri, appear lost – with fellow reporter David Ornstein claiming the race is all but over for the Moroccan (Twitter).
However, Sky Sports reporter Solhekol now believes that West Ham could still sign King in this window – with the reporter revealing that they are still very much keeping tabs.
Transfer Tavern take
Claiming he’s ‘been told‘ the Hammers are still ‘very much interested‘, Solhekol’s claim could come as good news given that Moyes is arguably in dire need of a new front man, after talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook recently stated that the 29-year-old is ‘desperate‘ to join West Ham.
Time will tell whether they do end up landing him as their January solution, but the final stretch of the January transfer window is now approaching.
