The Daily Mail have West Ham United fans rushing over to the bar here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they seem to think the Hammers are set to return Alex Song to Barcelona.
As one of our punters notes, over January we thought the Hammers would be lucky to land the star – but as we know, a few months can make a huge difference – and now after seeing the midfielder’s performances leave a bit to be desired, the east London club are now reconsidering just what to do with him.
While it is clear that he does not have a future at Barcelona, one thing we are sure of is that a host of clubs would come in for Song should the Hammers not make a permanent move for him – and given Barca are only looking for around £10 million, we think it could well be a steal.
