The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been celebrating all day long…
It has been a slow few weeks since the end of the 2016/17 season, and that has been concerning the Reds in the Transfer Tavern. Whilst last season was a very strong one for the club, with a top four finish secured, the thoughts of those in the pub have now swiftly turned to next year.
More importantly, with all the teams around improving and bringing in fresh talent, the fans in the Transfer Tavern want to see a few major signings at Anfield.
A long-winded saga surrounding Virgil van Dijk made it look as though the Dutchman would end up at Anfield, before the Reds were forced into an embarrassing apology regarding their courting of the player.
That has all been forgotten now, though, with Liverpool confirming this week that the club have signed Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah, with the player joining from Roma.
Unsurprisingly, this has generated some real excitement amongst supporters in the Transfer Tavern, with many looking forward to seeing him perform. It’s a very similar tale on Twitter, with Liverpool fans responding to the confirmation with real joy…
