Rangers slipped even further behind second-placed Aberdeen this weekend after they could only struggle to a 1-1 draw with Motherwell at Ibrox, in Pedro Caixinha’s second game in-charge at the club.
It was a result that frustrated plenty of regulars here in the pub and perhaps highlighted more than ever how much work the Portuguese manager has to do over the summer, when it comes to bringing players in.
Of course, here in the pub, there are plenty of supporters who want to see new faces at Ibrox but arguably one of Caixinha’s biggest tasks is keeping the bright stars that are on the books at the club.
There are some special players at Rangers right now and it would be a real shame if they left this summer.
So armed with some advice from some of our biggest Rangers regulars, we’ve put together a small list of the players Gers can’t do without.
So with that in mind, here’s the TWO stars Rangers really can’t afford to lose this summer…
Kenny Miller

Kenny Miller might be turning 38 later this year but that hasn’t stopped the Rangers favourite continuing to be a massive player for side this season.
The veteran forward has popped up with plenty of goals as he’s led the Rangers line for much of the campaign, and whilst the club are still mulling over a new deal for him, he’s certainly a player the supporters here in the pub want to see stay.
His commitment to the cause, his work rate and his love of the club are all reasons why he deserves a new deal.
Barrie McKay

Barrie McKay has been one of Rangers’ biggest performers for the whole campaign and there’s little doubt there will be interest in his services this summer.
He’s a creative midfielder who has chipped in with goals, assists and everything else you expect this campaign and he’s a player that could become a big part of Caixinha’s reign in-charge at Ibrox.
It’s imperative that they keep hold of him this summer.
