The Liverpool supporters chatting to the barman cannot wait for the season ahead.

The Reds, who open their Premier League campaign against Watford, have the Champions League to look forward to.

Of course they have to navigate the qualifiers first, but Jurgen Klopp’s side will believe they are capable of going far in the competition.

The signings are not coming thick and fast, but the Reds have already spent close to £50million this summer in capturing Mohamed Salah, Dominic Solanke and Andy Robertson.

Klopp is keen to further bolster his squad and the Anfield faithful are anticipating big money moves for both RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita and Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk.

With the Reds likely to bring in further additions, it all means competition for places at Liverpool is really hotting up.

Emre Can

The Germany international showed good form towards the end of the season for Liverpool, heightened by his spectacular overhead kick against Watford. However, Can is likely to take a backseat to Jordan Henderson with the Reds skipper now free from injury.

Can may have to wait his turn as Adam Lallana and Gigi Wijnaldum line up next to Henderson.

James Milner

The makeshift left-back is now uncertain of a starting role after Jurgen Klopp bagged Andy Robertson from Hull.

Milner was a stand in for Alberto Moreno, who was desperately struggling at left-back, but now the former England international could find himself propping up the bench this season.
