Plenty of Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have named Oleg Luzhny as the club’s worst signing after The Athletic journalist Tim Spiers popped the question on his official Twitter page.
There were plenty of names that were thrown about, with Roger Johnson and Jamie O’Hara as more recent signings, but many WWFC supporters thought that Luzhny topped the lot.
The Ukrainian, who is now the assistant manager of Dynamo Kyiv, made just seven appearances for the Wanderers in all competitions, according to Transfermarkt.
He is perhaps best known for his time at Arsenal, where he won a Premier League title, two FA Cups and was twice an English Super Cup winner. The former right-back made 108 appearances in all competitions for the north London club, providing five assists. He has also represented his country 52 times at senior international level.
Despite his credentials, these Wolves fans think that Luzhny is the club’s worst signing ever in their history:
