A number of Wolves fans have hailed the contribution of former manager Kenny Jackett at Molineux in light of an interview he gave to Tim Spiers for The Athletic.
The journalist posted a link to the interview on his Twitter profile @TimSpiers and, in their discussion, the current Portsmouth manager spoke candidly about the unenviable situation in which he took the Wolves job in 2013.

When Jackett arrived at Molineux, the club had been relegated from the Premier League to League One in successive seasons, with Spiers alluding to the extreme discord between the club and its fans at the time. However, the manager took Wolves back into the Championship at the first attempt with a record third-tier points total of 103 and only just missed out on the play-offs the following season. Jackett left Molineux in 2016 after Steve Morgan sold the club to Fosun, under whose ownership Wolves have gone from mid-table in the second tier to sixth in the Premier League and the last 16 of the Europa League.
