Some Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have reacted to an article from The Athletic journalist Tim Spiers as he picked Raul Jimenez as his player of the season so far.
On his official Twitter page, the writer claims that it was not an easy decision of his, but justifies his claim by saying that if you give the ball to one player he will score, and that player is the Mexican international.
Spiers talks about how Jimenez has not just dwelled on his impressive performances from the campaign before, but has carried on those displays into this term as well.
Indeed, in the 2018/19 season, the 28-year old scored 17 goals and provided eight assists in 44 appearances in all competitions, according to Transfermarkt.
In this campaign, Jimenez has actually managed five more strikes and two more assists in the same number of games, backing up Spiers’ point that he has not just a one-season wonder.
