Wolverhampton Wanderers fans were reminiscing over a famous victory against West Ham United on its anniversary.
Yesterday, exactly a decade ago, Wolves beat the Hammers 3-1 in their own back yard as they provided themselves with a massive boost in the race for Premier League survival (via BBC). Goals from Kevin Doyle, Ronald Zubar and Matt Jarvis ensured that Mick McCarthy’s men moved seven points clear of the relegation zone.
One fan labelled the game ‘brilliant’.
Those Zubar and Jarvis goals are 2 od my favourite ever. Brilliant https://t.co/z0MYWQThwe

The Midlands outfit have enjoyed the best of the recent meetings between the two sides, winning five of the last nine fixtures across all competitions (via 11v11). It includes each of the previous three league meetings, which Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have won on an aggregate score of six goals to nil. Supporters seemed to have pretty good memories of the encounter from back in 2010 as they took to Twitter to react.
Would Wolves be able to keep Ruben Neves if a big club came calling?
Yes
No
Here is a selection of tweets:
