Many Wolves fans were left scratching their heads at Nuno Espirito Santo’s decision to switch to an apparent 3-5-2 after their starting line-up was revealed that will face West Bromwich Albion in the Black Country Derby this afternoon.
An hour before kick-off, Nuno unveiled that he made two changes to his side that lost 2-1 to Everton last time out, with Rayan Ait-Nouri and Morgan Gibbs-White coming out of the team.

In their place, Adama Traore came in alongside Fabio Silva as part of a front two, with Willy Boly dropping back into the backline in place of Rayan Ait-Nouri.
As first impressions go, Nuno had set out his side in a 3-5-2 formation, with Pedro Neto playing in the left wingback role.

Because of this, supporters were confused with some suggesting that it will eventually merge into more of a 4-3-3 as the game goes on, with Neto joining the attacking line.
