Wolves have been named as one of two interested parties that want to sign Christian Eriksen this month.
Eriksen to Molineux?
The former Tottenham star has struggled since leaving North London for Inter, and has only started four Serie A games in his bit-part role in Antonio Conte’s side this season.
With this in mind, Gianluca Di Marzio reported that there has been no official offers on the table for Eriksen as of yet, but added there is interest from England and the Netherlands, specifically Wolves and Ajax.
They continued by saying that both clubs have been in contact with the player’s entourage and believe that compromises would have to be made on the 28-year-old’s current pay packet if a deal is going to be done.
Transfer Tavern Verdict
With Joao Moutinho as the club’s highest earner (Spotrac), the Danish middle man would have to take a substantial pay cut before any agreement could be made.
As it stands, Nuno may have to look for a cheaper option in the middle of the park.
