Some Wolves fans believe that Nuno Espirito Santo must win one or more major trophies at Molineux to be considered the club’s greatest ever manager.
Wolves Live on Twitter (@WolvesFC_latest) asked followers what they felt the Portuguese native must do to be regarded as the best manager in the club’s history, with many of the responses mentioning the need for silverware.

Since becoming Wolves manager two and a half years ago, Nuno took a team who finished 15th in the Championship in 2017 to promotion to the Premier League in his first season, followed by a seventh-place finish and a run to the FA Cup semi-finals last term.
That domestic return was good enough to earn a place in the Europa League, in which Wolves are very well placed to reach the knockout rounds.

However, Nuno’s Championship triumph of 2017/18 is still some way behind the managerial achievements of Stan Cullis, under whom Wolves won three league titles in the 1950s and two FA Cups (1949 and 1960), as archived from wolves.premiumtv.co.uk.
These Wolves fans on Twitter aren’t quite ready to place Nuno in the same bracket as Cullis just yet:
Stan Cullis set the bar, if he achieves that and more that’s the answer. He’s got the fans on his side for a start and the players are responding in a similar fashion. If he and his staff continue in the same vain and Fosun give them the support then anything is possible. UTW

Show what Stan Cullis won and say beat that, easy really

Just because of how great Cullis was, trophies. If he can get us domestic and/or European trophies, he’s right up there.

Win the Premier 4 times oh and maybe an FA Cup for good measure. Stan Cullis is way out ahead.

He is the best in my 45 years watching the team. To be the greatest ever he will need to beat the number of trophies won by Stan Cullis.

He’s the beat I’ve seen in my 37 years supporting them. Some way to go to be talked about as better than Stan Cullis but if he were to win a major trophy he’d be in the conversation.
