Plenty of Wolves fans showed their appreciation for goalkeeper Rui Patricio following a marvellous performance in his team’s come-from-behind victory today.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s men fell behind to a 17th-minute Todd Cantwell goal and were 0-1 down at the interval before second half goals from Romain Saiss and Raul Jimenez gave them victory at Norwich. [via Sky Sports]
The Athletic writer Tim Spiers noted on Twitter (via @TimSpiers) that a number of Wolves players made a beeline for Patricio at the final whistle.
Noticeable that a few players went straight to Patricio at the final whistle. Without his saves Wolves would have lost, simples.

The Portuguese goalkeeper has been ever-present for his team in the Premier League this season and he showed why he is so often one of the first names on Nuno’s teamsheet with an outstanding display at Carrow Road, making six saves against the Canaries this afternoon (as per Sofascore).
Birmingham Live reporter Ben Husband lauded Patricio’s performance afterwards, awarding him a nine in his player ratings and saying: “Without him, Norwich would have been out of sight by half time. No player deserved to be on the winning team more.”
These Wolves fans on Twitter were also waxing lyrical about the goalkeeper after today’s victory:
He was mustard today 😉
