Loads of Wolves fans have been looking back at Ruben Neves’ incredible assist against upcoming opponents Leicester City last season.
Deep from his own half, the Portuguese playmaker got the ball under control after a Leicester attack before pinging it to Diogo Jota. His compatriot then calmly dispatched as Nuno Espirito Santo’s men went on to win 4-3 in an exciting encounter at Molineux.
Wolves supporters will be hoping for more of the same from Neves on Friday, with the 22-year-old undoubtedly having that long-range pass in his locker. As stats on WhoScored show, it was not a one off as he continues to execute such balls.
Averaging 5.1 accurate long balls per game in the Premier League this season, the third-highest average in Wolves’ squad, Neves’ passing range is just one of the many tools at his disposal.
