Wolves fans are hoping that Ryan Bennett doesn’t find a move before the transfer window shuts tomorrow, judging by the sounds of many of them on Twitter. Tim Spiers, who covers the club for The Athletic, reported that “a number of clubs” have shown interest but no “concrete” offer has been made.
The 29-year-old has only featured in 15 of Wolves’ games this season, despite them having played 40 games already across four competitions. Despite this, he’s not been in particularly bad form when he’s been called upon, with WhoScored rating him 6.39/10 for his Premier League showings.
When Spiers posted his tweet and said the player’s situation is “one to keep an eye on during the next 48 hours”, Wolves fans reacted with concern. It’s clear that many of them still rate the Englishman, with many of the replies explaining how they’d rather he stayed.
A number of clubs have shown an interest in Ryan Bennett but no concrete offers yet and I’m told it’s unlikely he’d be allowed to leave if one was made. One to keep an eye on during the next 48 hours though.
