Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters have been very despondent in the last couple of hours after seeing their team extend their winless run in the Premier League to six games on Friday night.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s men went into their encounter with lowly Cardiff City having picked up one point from their previous five league matches, and thus in dire need of that victory to get them back on track in the English top-flight. And while the West Midlands outfit took the lead in the Welsh capital through Matt Doherty, they were unable to get the job done as goals from Aron Gunnarsson and Junior Hoilett secured a 2-1 success for Neil Warnock’s Bluebirds, in turn inflicting a sixth league defeat of the campaign on Nuno’s Wolves.
As such, there have been many frustrated Wolves fans up and down the country in recent times, plenty of whom have taken to Twitter in the aftermath of Friday’s defeat to slate winger Adama Traore for his largely ineffective performance against the Bluebirds.
The 22-year-old made the big money move to Molineux from Middlesbrough during the summer as Nuno sought further strength to his attacking ranks, what with the ex-Barcelona man producing the goods for Boro in the Championship last season with five goals and ten assists for the Teessiders.
And Nuno gave the Spain Under-21 international just his second Premier League start of the season on Friday night, a decision which backfired greatly given Traore struggled to make a meaningful impact on proceedings, eventually being hooked for Morgan Gibbs-White with 17 minutes to play.
And Traore’s poor display in Cardiff on Friday night certainly hasn’t escaped several Wolves fans on Twitter…

Tbh mate I think Traore was very poor again. No movement or work rate what so ever.

Traore is the biggest waste of money since the new north bank #wwfc

Sorry got to disagree Traore was poor again – offers little.

Exactly. Traore is a waste of time, constantly running into dead ends. I thought Nuno would add some composure to his erratic style but how long is it going to take?! Jota and Costa are passengers most weeks

Starting to turn into a bit more than a blip this.
Body language before Cardiff’s second was poor.
Traore should never start, not like we didn’t know it beforehand either. #wwfc
