Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters have been drowning their sorrows in the last few hours after seeing their side suffer a sixth Premier League defeat of the season on Friday night.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s men went into their clash with Cardiff City in the Welsh capital having struggled for form in recent weeks, picking up just one point from their previous five games, and having failed to win in the league since the start of October. And that winless run now stands at six matches after going down 2-1 to Neil Warnock’s Bluebirds, with goals from Aron Gunnarsson and Junior Hoilett inspiring the hosts to come back from Matt Doherty’s opener to seal all three points.
Thus, there have been many disappointed Wolves fans up and down the country in recent times, several of whom have taken to Twitter to convey their anger towards striker Raul Jimenez, who endured a difficult evening at the Cardiff City Stadium on Friday.
The 27-year-old made the move to Molineux during the summer on loan from Portuguese heavyweights Benfica, and with three goals and five assists in the Premier League prior to last night, he had made an encouraging start to life in English football’s top-flight.
And while he can add another assist to his tally, the Mexico international was largely ineffective in a very below-par Wolves display on Friday night, prompting much frustration from plenty of Wolves supporters on Twitter…
Jimenez was that bad he made me miss Bonatini.

Yeh, I’d go with Traore, Jota and Cavaleiro on Wednesday. All improvising between wingers and central strikers. Not sure how it could be any worse. Jimenez looks both shattere and useless.

Jimenez. Last two games has reminded me very much of Doyle. Chasing balls out to the right and the left of the area and putting them in instead of being in the middle waiting for the cross or the pass to come in to him to get the shot off. Frustrating.

Wouldn’t have taken traore off, only out ball we had and the only way we looked like scoring. Costa and jiminez so so poor . What formation did we even end up with ? Anyone know ? #wwfc

Not fit to wear the wolves shirt at this level. £30 million for Jimenez – Mendes is having a larf. Smart move leaving Bennett out when there’s an aerial threat.

Traore was good today (until the second half) just lacked the link-up play, Costa was bang average. Jimenez… poor yet again, a proven striker in January is much needed.

@Wolves At what point do we drop Jimènez?
At what point do we stop taking Traore off?
At what point do we start changing things considering we’ve now been found out.— Michael Aitcheson (@mikeaitch20) November 30, 2018
Wolves fans… what do you think? Let us know!
