Wolves striker Raul Jimenez is set to be left out of Mexico’s squad for the next two international breaks after representing his country this week.
According to @TalkingWolves on Twitter, Mexico manager Gerardo Martino has said that he will not call up Europe-based players who featured in the summer’s Gold Cup for their CONCACAF Nations League games in October and November.

Jimenez was in the Mexico squad for their friendlies in USA in the last few days, and while he did not feature in the 3-0 win against the U.S., he played the full 90 minutes of the 0-4 defeat to Argentina in midweek.
Since the beginning of last September, the 29-year-old has played 14 times for Mexico, and after appearing in all their Gold Cup games over the summer, he has now been involved in summer tournaments with his country for four years in a row. [via TransferMarkt.co.uk]
